Catálogo de los tipos de Heteroptera (Insecta) conservados en el Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales

Resumen

Catalog of the types of Heteroptera (Insecta) held at the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales, Buenos Aires. The type specimens (all current categories) of Heteroptera held at this Museum are listed; 366 names are recorded, 207 of them (56,5%) represented here by name-bearing types ('primary' types). Families are taken in their broadest sense, and their names are alphabetically filed; within each family, species and subspecies are also entered in alphabetical order, their names being followed by the generic names as they were in the original binomina. Later combinations and/or current binomina are mentioned as long as these are known to the author. Four lists are added: 1. of type-specimens not found in the collection, although said to have been deposited here; 2. of specimens labelled as types of names not found in the literature, and probably not published; 3. of specimens labelled as types, but not originally included as such, and published or not after the original description (chiefly 'allotypes'); 4. of specimens intended as types, but in categories not accepted by the Zoological Code.
